About Weatherbee Woods Preserve
The northern portion of the preserve is mainly wooded and adjoins Schroeter Park, a facility owned by Superior Township. Its high quality landscape contains significant plant diversity, including upland woodlots and a hardwood swamp. A perennial stream cuts through the steeply sloped topography. - Acres: 84

Weatherbee Woods Preserve is operated by the Washtenaw County Parks & Recreation Commission and was purchased through the Natural Areas Preservation Program.
Ellen Weatherbee
This preserve is named for Ellen Weatherbee a local naturalist, who - along with the Superior Land Preservation Society - was instrumental in the protection of this property.
