    Picturesque views of open fields, mature forests, and lake edge provide a perfect backdrop for some summer birding. All levels of birders are welcome. Please bring binoculars. Space is limited to 12 birders. Email Kelsey at [email protected] to register.

  2. Preschool Hike: Mouse in a Meadow

    August 7, 2021, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ County Farm Park

    Late summer is a busy time in the meadow. We will go on a gentle hike to take an up-close look at life in a typical North American meadow and learn about the secret lives of mice. Hike led by Shawn Severance. For ages 2- 5. Pre-registration is required - Space is limited to 5 children per section, accompanied by one adult. Please register child and adult, no unregistered siblings. Each hike is limited to 10 total people.

  3. Family Nature Adventures: Cloudspotting

    August 7, 2021, 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM @ West Lake Preserve

    We’ll have our heads in the clouds as we learn about the different types of clouds and make our own clouds to take home! This program is led by Kelsey Dehring.     The Home Toxics Center provides Washtenaw County residents with a disposal option for flammable, poisonous, toxic, and corrosive materials such as paint, pesticides, cleaners, and more. Safety Procedures: - Please wear a mask or face covering - Remain in your vehicle at all times - No change can be made for donations We can only take materials from Washtenaw County residents and not any materials generated by a business (with the exception of pesticides).
