It's free fishing weekend in Michigan! Come learn all about the fish that inhabit Independence Lake, where they live, and what they eat. We will sample fish with a beach seine net and identify what we catch. All fish will be released at the end of the program. Please wear shoes and shorts appropriate for going in the water. Program led by Darryl Hondorp, Research Fish Biologist with the US Geological Survey and Shawn Severance, Parks Naturalist. Pre-registration is required - maximum 5 children.
