    June 12, 2021, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Independence Lake County Park

    It's free fishing weekend in Michigan! Come learn all about the fish that inhabit Independence Lake, where they live, and what they eat. We will sample fish with a beach seine net and identify what we catch. All fish will be released at the end of the program. Please wear shoes and shorts appropriate for going in the water. Program led by Darryl Hondorp, Research Fish Biologist with the US Geological Survey and Shawn Severance, Parks Naturalist. Pre-registration is required - maximum 5 children.   2. Free Fishing Weekend - Rolling Hills

    June 12, 2021, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Rolling Hills County Park

    Rolling Hills – meet near the pond, located down the hill from the Lodge Park entry fee required Children and adults alike are welcome to come and participate in Michigan’s Free Fishing weekend. Poles, bait and instruction provided; bring your own poles if you’d like. No license needed! Bring sunscreen and a water bottle!   3. Stewardship Saturday

    June 12, 2021, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Osborne Mill Preserve

    Join us the second Saturday of every month to help the environment and explore new places. Volunteers are needed to help remove non-native plants from this woodland along the Huron River.
