The Winter Garden is full of wild beauty! Learn about how beneficial insects overwinter in the garden and go on a nature hike to look for signs of insect life. This hike starts indoors with a 45-minute presentation, while we enjoy a cup of custom blended wildflower tea, please come dressed to hike outdoors also. Appropriate for gardeners and nature enthusiasts. Presentation and Hike by Parks Naturalist Shawn Severance. In partnership with Project Grow. We'll meet in the Field Operations Building.

Chickadees are one of the toughest winter survivors. Join naturalist, Kelsey Dehring, to learn how chickadees, and their other feathered friends, managed to stay warm and find food all winter long. We’ll even make a winter treat for the birds! For ages 5 - 6. We'll meet at the Perennial Garden. Pre-registration is required - maximum 15 kids per program.
