    PRESERVE CHALLENGE Saturday, September 12th - Sunday, October 11 Various Parks and Preserves The Preserve Challenge is a four week virtual challenge encouraging people to get outside and explore. Join a staff-led event or explore on your own time. Participate by taking a photo or short video of your experience and posting it to social media with #ExploreWashtenaw. If you have a private social media account, email your photo to [email protected] By sharing your experience, you will be entered to win a prize for each week you participate.

  2. Preschool Hike: Leaf Man

    October 9, 2020, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ County Farm Park

    Enjoy the vibrant colors of fall as the trees put themselves to bed for the long sleep of winter. We will go on a gentle hike gathering the most beautiful leaves and make a leaf illustrations of our own. Hike led by Shawn Severance. Please bring a mask. Pre-registration is required for everyone attending over the age of 2. We can accept 5 children per section, accompanied by one adult. No unregistered siblings, please!   3. Family Night - Stargazing

    October 9, 2020, 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM @ Independence Lake County Park

    Come enjoy the park after the sun goes down. Enjoy the fall evening, bring your blanket and layout under the stars. A Park Naturalist will be walking around during the evening to point out various night sky constellations and objects. Family/households are required to place blankets at minimum 6’-10' from other households. Plans are in place for a small fire and s’mores. Program fee is $5.00 per family/household, up to 4 members. Only one person is needed to register, as the fee is per family/household. The check in table will be in our Beach Center pavilion. To register visit parksonline.ewashtenaw.org.
