    This is an invitation to our next CoC All-Membership meeting on October 21st from 12:30pm-2:00pm via Zoom. All-Membership meetings are open to the entire CoC (Board and Committee members, providers, stakeholders, members of the public, etc.) and are an opportunity to hear about what’s currently happening in the system and act on relevant action items. At our October meeting, we will be providing important system updates and holding Board elections for 8 open seats. Please see the attached Call for Nominations for more information. And if you’d like to nominate yourself or someone else to the CoC Board, please complete the nomination form by 10/16. Please join us if you’re able.   1. Junior Naturalist: Michigan's Feathered Travelers

    Colder weather will soon be upon us and some of our feathered friends will be flying south for winter. We’ll discover which birds travel long distances to escape the cold, and which will hang around for the holidays. Independence Lake offers amazing birding opportunities to view waterfowl and other birds who prefer the cover of trees. Binoculars will be provided but feel free to bring your own. A bird field guide is suggested. Program led by Kelsey Dehring. For ages 7 - 11. Pre-registration is required. Space is limited – max 5 kids per section.
