  1. Household Hazardous Waste Collection

    September 14, 2019, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

    The Home Toxics Reduction Program provides Washtenaw County residents with a disposal option for flammable, poisonous, toxic and corrosive materials. Regular collection events are held the first three Saturdays of the month, April through November 9 a.m. to noon, except for holiday weekends. No appointment needed on Saturdays! If you can't make it to a Saturday collection, please call 734-222-3950 to schedule a weekday drop-off appointment. Please allow at least 48 business hours advance notice to schedule an appointment.

    New Music Detroit brings their 12th annual marathon music festival to Trinosophes, the DIA and The Cube! The avant-garde production features experimental and far-reaching sounds ranging from contemporary chamber music and European folk to experimental electronics and noise improvisation. 5 PM - Viands (Joel Peterson & David Shettler) 6 PM - University of Michigan Percussion Ensemble 7 PM - Aepex Contemporary 8 PM - New Music Detroit 10 PM - James Cornish Light Opera & Lisa Lamarre and Dancers General Admission - Single Day (Advance) - $10 General Admission - Single Day (Door) - $20 VIP 3-day Weekend Pass $85 (You must add 1 VIP Experience ticket from all 3 performances to your cart in order to access the VIP Weekend Pass price.)   1. Stewardship Saturday & Preserve Challenge Hike

    September 14, 2019, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Draper-Houston Meadows Preserve

    Join us to hike a couple miles through Draper-Houston Preserve while also helping the environment. This is the kick-off for our Preserve Challenge – a virtual challenge to encourage getting outside and enjoying natural areas. No registration or previous experience is necessary. Please dress for the weather and be prepared for working off-trail. Led by Katie Carlisle.
