  1. CLOSED - No Household Hazardous Waste Collection on 10/12/19

    10/12/19 - The Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center is closed for the holiday weekend (Indigenous Peoples' Day). The next Saturday collection is scheduled for October 19, 2019. The Home Toxics Reduction Program provides Washtenaw County residents with a disposal option for flammable, poisonous, toxic and corrosive materials. Regular collection events are held the first three Saturdays of the month, April through November 9 a.m. to noon, except for holiday weekends. No appointment needed on Saturdays! If you can't make it to a Saturday collection, please call 734-222-3810 to schedule a weekday drop-off appointment. Please allow at least 48 business hours advance notice to schedule an appointment.

  2. Stewardship Saturday at Whitmore Lake Preserve

    October 12, 2019, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Whitmore Lake Preserve

    Join us the second Saturday of every month to help the environment, meet like-minded people, be active, and explore. Volunteers have been improving the oak hickory woodland at Whitmore Lake for several years and we will be continuing on their efforts at this workday. Please dress for the weather and be prepared for working off-trail and hiking to/from the work area. Led by Faye Stoner.
