    September 22, 2018, 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM @ Rolling Hills County Park

Since 2014, this event has given participants the opportunity to have a fun and memorable time, while raising awareness and funds for cancer awareness and research. Participants can run, walk, skip, or dance their way their way through multiple color stations along the course. It's crazy-colorful-fun!!! In 2018, all proceeds for the Colors of Cancer 5k will go to North Star Reach. North Star Reach provides transformative camp experiences for children with serious health challenges and their families – free of charge—thanks to gifts of time, money, and talents from generous supporters like you. Located on 105 wooded acres in southeastern Michigan and surrounded by freshwater lakes, sandy beaches and rolling hills, North Star Reach is the only camp of its kind serving children with serious health challenges and their families across the Great Lakes Region.

  2. Preserve Challenge: Weekend Adventure Draper-Houston Meadows Preserve

    September 22, 2018, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Draper-Houston Meadows Preserve

Get outside and celebrate National Public Lands Day at Draper-Houston Preserve. To inspire hiking and exploration of our natural areas, join Washtenaw County’s Preserve Challenge. Throughout September we will lead public hikes and share daily trail inspiration on Social Media in case you’d prefer to hike on your own time. Share your nature hike experience on social media or via email and you will be entered into weekly a prize drawing. If you share all four consecutive weeks in September, you will be entered into the Grand Prize drawing. Check out our Washtenaw County Parks Events Page at for the full details.
