    Candidate Committee Statements should be turned in after the Close of Books and before the end of the business day on October 26th. Statements can be submitted in person, by mail (must be received by due date), by email, or by fax.

  2. County Clean-up Day for Washtenaw County Residents

    October 20, 2018, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Across from EMU Rynearson Stadium

    The Washtenaw County Water Resources Commissioner’s Office and Board of Public Works, as well as several community partners, will be sponsoring Environmental Clean-up Days for Washtenaw County residents. These events provide opportunities for residents to dispose of many unwanted household items in a safe and sustainable manner. See the event flyers for details on acceptable items like Household Hazardous Waste, Electronics, Scrap Metal, Tires, Appliances, Recyclables. . .and more! Due to the increasing popularity of these events, long lines are expected. Vehicles will be processed as quickly as possible until 2:00 p.m. However, the vehicle line may be closed early, based on wait times and event capacity. We appreciate your patience & assistance unloading. Please review the event map. Electronics will unload in the 1st area, Home Toxics in the 2nd, & Tires, Appliances, Metals & Bulky items 3rd area.   3. Household Hazardous Waste Collection

    October 20, 2018, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

    The Home Toxics Reduction Program provides Washtenaw County residents with a disposal option for flammable, poisonous, toxic and corrosive materials. Regular collection events are held the first three Saturdays of the month, April through November 9 a.m. to noon, except for holiday weekends. No appointment needed on Saturdays! If you can't make it to a Saturday collection, please call 734-222-3810 to schedule a weekday drop-off appointment. Please allow at least 48 business hours advance notice to schedule an appointment.

  2. Fireside Story Time

    October 20, 2018, 10:00 AM - 11:30 PM @ Independence Lake County Park

    Enjoy a fall-themed nature storytime, campfire popcorn, and cups of hot cider. Books will be selected by guest reader & literacy advocate Natalie d’Aubermont Thompson. Parks Naturalist Shawn Severance will lead a nature hike after the story. If the weather is good, this program will happen outdoors, so please bring a blanket to sit on and dress for the weather.
