  1. County Clean-up Day for Washtenaw County Residents

    The Washtenaw County Water Resources Commissioner’s Office and Board of Public Works, as well as several community partners, will be sponsoring Environmental Clean-up Days for Washtenaw County residents. These events provide opportunities for residents to dispose of many unwanted household items in a safe and sustainable manner. See the event flyers for details on acceptable items like Household Hazardous Waste, Electronics, Scrap Metal, Tires, Appliances, Recyclables. . .and more!

  1. Rain Garden Nature Walk

    September 26, 2018, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Meet at 2000 Champagne Drive, Ann Arbor

    Meet at 2000 Champagne Drive, Ann Arbor. We will tour the rain gardens between the sidewalk and the street. We will also highlight rain gardens in a nearby public park. Come learn how these rain gardens work, what plants you can find inside them and more! We will mostly stay on the sidewalk so dress comfortably and bring water. The walk will be led rain or shine by staff from the Water Resources Commissioner's Office.

  2. Buhr Park Rain Garden Love a Park Day

    September 29, 2018, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Meet at the entrance to the ice arena, 2751 Packard St, Ann Arbor, MI 48108

    We will pull weeds like Yellow Sweet Clover, Ragweed and Canada Thistle. We will also collect and scatter native seeds from the Children’s Wet Meadows to the other gardens. Bring a water bottle and dress for the weather. We will provide tools, gloves, water and expertise.

  3. Rain Garden Seed & Plant Swap – and Potluck BBQ!

    Bring seeds and plants that you have collected from your garden to trade and give away. FREE seeds! Ok to come empty-handed too. Bring a dish/drink to share, and a camping chair if you have one. We will recognize Rain Gardeners who have gone above and beyond this year with a special gift! Michael says: “It would be great to meet all of you over a beer, a brat and a salad. Please bring your significant others along and whoever you think might enjoy meeting the rain-gardener-crowd. Kids are welcome and there will be entertainment for them.”
