  1. Snowshoe Clinic

    January 26, 2019, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Independence Lake County Park

    Join a snowshoe Expert from REI at Independence Lake County Park for a snowshoe clinic. Michigan winter is the perfect time to learn how to snowshoe and a great opportunity to explore the winter wonderland the park turns into. A short lesson on snowshoeing and try on some snowshoes. Then take your new skills to the trails for a guided snowshoe hike. No experience required. All ages are welcome. REI will provide the snowshoes. Per-registration is required. If there is no snow the clinic will still run. This program is FREE, but vehicle entrance fee is required.

  2. Snow Much Fun!

    January 26, 2019, 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Rolling Hills County Park

    As part of the Winter Fun Fest event for Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation, we will be hosting Snow Much Fun! on January 26, 2019 from 12-3pm at The Lodge. There will be sledding, hot chocolate by a warm fire, arts and crafts and a petting zoo! The cost is $5 per person and pre-registration is encouraged at parksonline.ewashtenaw.org.

  3. Meadow Mindfulness Hike

    January 27, 2019, 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM @ County Farm Park

    ***MEET AT THE MEDFORD RD PAVILION*** Enjoy winter’s quiet in a mindfulness hike based on the practice of Shinrin-Yoku. We will hike in a walking meditation enjoying the crisp winter air and learning simple exercises that can be done at any time to bring about expanded awareness and connection to the peace of the present moment. Hike will end with a tea ceremony. This guided movement meditation will be led by Julie Woodward, MA, MSW. Julie is a meditation and yoga instructor, U of M Health Educator, and Co-founder of Mindful City Ann Arbor.
