About Whitmore Lake Preserve

Whitmore Lake Preserve's trails let visitors explore diverse habitats, including, meadows, mixed hardwood forest, and wooded wetlands, with scenic views over a large marsh and small lakes.

Whitmore Lake Preserve is operated by the Washtenaw County Parks & Recreation Commission and was purchased through the Natural Areas Preservation Program.

Directions

Directions: The parking lot is located at the corner of Seven Mile Road and Nollar Road. From U.S.-23: Take exit 53 and head east/south on 8 Mile Road / Main Street Turn left (east) on E Shore Drive and then right on 7 Mile Road. The preserve will one mile down the road on the left (at the intersection with Nollar).
