Staebler Farm County Park - 
Phase 1 Development Nearly Complete!

If you haven’t driven by the farm lately, there have been big changes to the site.  Construction projects were slow to start, but by October, things were really moving! 

The farmhouse and chicken coop repair projects are nearing completion.  This project coincided with work undertaken by the Michigan Folk School to rehabilitate the workshop to provide space for blacksmithing and woodworking.  The building is expected to be ready for classes this winter.  To learn about their offerings, please visit mifolkschool.com.

A few weeks ago, crews began constructing the parking lot south of Plymouth Road to accommodate Folk School classes and other amenities.  By the end of the month, the gravel lot will be completed.  A mowed trail, roadway enhancements, and lot paving will occur in the spring. 

In 2019, we will begin design development for the north portion of the park, including recreation amenities and landscape improvements.  We will provide updates as plans progress!
