Construction Begins!

This Monday, August 6, construction crews began making repairs to the buildings south of Plymouth Road.  The Parks Commission's first priority is to repair the chicken coop so it doesn't interfere with renovations to the workshop building, managed by the Michigan Folk School.  Once repairs to the building are complete, attention will turn to the house.  In addition, if you drive by the property, temporary elevated electrical lines have been put in place until other infrastructure has been developed at which time lines will be buried.  As a reminder, we are still developing public access to the site (north and south of Plymouth Road); therefore, the park is not open for any use at this time.

Site Implementation Plan Meeting

This summer, staff have been working closely with a consultant to create detailed plans for the park's development.  On August 20, at 7:00pm, staff will present the draft plan to Superior Township officials and residents for feedback during the Board of Trustees meeting (Township Hall, 3040 N. Prospect Rd).  We invite you to attend to learn about this exciting project!
