Commissioner Hodge's Newsletter

Hello neighbor,

It’s been a very busy time since I took office in January! Between battling the pandemic and addressing community concerns, there has been no shortage of things to do at the county. With President Biden signing the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) into law, county governments like ours have the opportunity to make a once-in-a-generation investment in strengthening our communities. Using ARPA funds and other county funds we have created the Washtenaw Rescue Plan and we want your input on it.
Please continue reading for information on that as well as other county resources. I'm hosting 2 virtual town halls on Monday, August 9th (one at noon, one at 6pm) on the Washtenaw Rescue Plan that I would love for you to join! Here is the link to learn more. I hope to see you there!

Washtenaw County Rescue Plan Public Engagement Opportunity

The Commissioners and Washtenaw County staff have developed a list of potential programs, projects, and initiatives for their proposed Washtenaw County Rescue Plan. This plan will leverage multiple funding sources, most notably the American Rescue Plan Act, to ensure a more complete response to the impacts COVID-19 has had on our community. These potential projects have been categorized into 7 priority categories.
