Hello neighbor,
It is my pleasure to be elected to serve as your Pittsfield Township Commissioner. This past year has been the most challenging time of our lives and has made traditional communication and personal interaction difficult. I’m excited to have a newly created Commissioner’s newsletter to share and communicate important information with you.
The first eight months of my two-year term have been packed with a steep learning curve, pandemic and weather-related urgencies that have placed a strain on our residents, and limited interactions with you, my neighbor-constituents. Please take a moment to review this and future newsletters as a way to be as up-to-date on local and county-wide issues.
I will be hosting two Zoom town hall meetings on Thursday, August 12th 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, August 14th 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. to gather your thoughts and concerns related to the funding that is being allocated to Washtenaw County through the American Rescue Plan Act. 71 million dollars is an unprecedented amount of funding that can be used to equitably address infrastructure needs as well as other needs that have been delayed for years. I need and want you to complete the county survey (see below) as well as to hear from you by email, phone, or at one of my two town halls. Feel free to email me any questions or concerns that you may have in advance of my town halls.
Commissioner Caroline Sanders
