Effective June 15, 2020 the Washtenaw County Clerk/Register’s office is available for in-person service by appointment, only. 

The public is encouraged to access our services online and by mail for both convenience and safety:

Order Certified Copies of Vital Records 

Apply for a Marriage License  

  • Video Conference appointments to apply for marriage licenses are being scheduled by the Vital Records office.
  • Call 734-222-6720 or email: [email protected] to schedule an appointment.

Obtain Copies of Recorded Land Records 

Submit Documents for Recording at the Register of Deeds By:

  • e-Recording 
  • Dropbox: located at the Main Street entrance to our building at 200 N. Main Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48104.
  • United States Postal Service mail to: Washtenaw County Register of Deeds, PO Box 8645, Ann Arbor, MI 48107. 
  • UPS or FedEx to: Washtenaw County Register of Deeds, 200 N. Main Street, Suite 110, Ann Arbor, MI 48104.

Concealed Pistol License Renewals

  • Submit online following instructions in the renewal reminder letter previously mailed to you by the County Clerk. See letter for details.
  • Applications for New CPL/CCW licenses must be submitted in-person. Please call 734-222-6730 or email [email protected] to make an appointment at the Clerk’s office.
