WASHTENAW COUNTY OFFERS RESIDENTS FREE ONLINE CYBER SECURITY TRAINING

Online threats are constantly evolving, so Washtenaw County’s Office of Information Technology is proud to partner with Wizer to help educate and inform our residents. 

WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI:  The internet has become a necessity in our lives.  We use it daily to communicate with one another, read or watch news, do homework, shop, work from home and pay our bills.  It is important to know how to use it safely, so we can protect our identity and our assets.   

Through a series of short, 1-2-minute videos, Washtenaw County residents will learn about: 

• Gaming Safely  

• 2 Factor Authentication 

• Gift Cards 

• Identity Theft 

• Job Scams 

• Sexting 

• Smart Devices 

• Security Questions  

• Social Media Logins  

Tutorials will be offered on: 

• Smart Home Technology  

• Safe Online Shopping 

• A Guide for Senior Citizens 

• A Guide for Kids and Teens 

• How to set up Two Factor Authentication
