[ARCHIVED] Frying a holiday turkey this year? Washtenaw County can help you recycle your used oil!

Used Fry Oil Collection Information

Frying a turkey this year for the holidays? Not sure what to do with the extra oil? Bring it to our Home Toxics center - the Washtenaw County Division of Public Works partners with Thumb Bioenergy to turn used cooking oil into biodiesel. So far this year, they've recycled over 1,000 pounds of used oil!

Drop-off appointments are available Monday to Friday (9:00am - 4:30pm) at 705 N. Zeeb Road. Please note we can only accept materials from Washtenaw County residents. Make sure that your oil isn't frozen solid - bring it inside overnight before your appointment!

Call (734) 222-3950 to schedule an appointment or for other questions. For more information, visit our home toxics webpage

This service will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on 11/28 and 11/29.
