[ARCHIVED] WCSO Mounted Unit brings home the hardware!

Congratulations to Corporal Cindy Flint and Sgt. Eugene Rush from the WashtenawWCSO LCSO Mounted Unit County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Unit, Danielle Nicholson and Andre Renier from the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Division with Special Thanks to Sgt. Doug Muston, Officers Sandra Chavez and Mark Zajac from the Detroit Metropolitan Police Department Mounted Unit!!! Years, months, weeks and days of training paid off at the 35th Annual National Mounted Police Colloquium in Lexington Kentucky last week. 91 Mounted Officers from 30 Law Enforcement Agencies from across North America including Canada trained and competed in multiple equine disciplines including crowd control, search and rescue, patrol operations, jumping, equitation, tracking, shooting, individual and team obstacles, individual equitation with the WCSO placing in more events this year than any year where we’ve competed! We placed in the following categories:

WCSO:
2nd Place - Obstacle Course2nd Place - Department Award
3rd Place - Dress Uniform Award
5th Place - Combined Equitation and Obstacle Course Award
10th Place - English Equitation Award
LCSO:
1st Place - English Equitation Award
4th Place - Combined Equitation and Obstacle Course Award
