The Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office and the University of Michigan Police Department will host the 5th Annual Purple Run on Saturday, October 12, 2019 with registrations beginning at 8:00 am and the race starting at 9:00 am at the Duderstat Center, 2281 Bonisteel Boulevard on North Campus. The 5K run/walk is a family event and will once again benefit SafeHouse Center. This is a timed race for runners but also a fun walk for anyone.
All proceeds of the Purple Run will go to SafeHouse Center, an organization that provides support for those impacted by domestic violence or sexual assault in Washtenaw County.
Register online by October 1st to be guaranteed a Purple Run T-shirt. Fees are $20 for students, $30 for adults, and $35 the day of the race.
The entire family can come and enjoy Storm Troopers, the Washtenaw County Mounted Sheriff’s Division, K9 Units and live music by The Soul Practitioners. For more information, visit the Purple Run website.
