[ARCHIVED] Rich Laster Summer Sports Camps Dedication Celebration

Rich Laster

Richard Laster worked for the The State of Michigan for 30 years and was the Supervisor of the Washtenaw Juvenile court when he retired.  During his employment there he co-founded The Washtenaw County Summer Sports Program in 1988.  Richard was very dedicated and passionate about the sports program and loved all the children who participated in it.  He believed that every child should have the opportunity to attend camp and many past campers came back to say thank you and often tell him that the camp saved their life. Unfortunately, he recently lost his battle with cancer on 06/06/2019.

Washtenaw County would like to invite everyone to celebrate the contributions that Rich Lester made to the Washtenaw County Community. The dedication of renaming the Washtenaw County Sports Camps to the "Rich Laster Summer Sports Camps" will be on August 15, 2019 at noon (food will be provided).  It will be held at the Ypsilanti Community High School, 2095 Packard, Ypsilanti, MI.
