PUBLIC NOTICE – SEEKING CITIZEN VOLUNTEERS FOR THE
WASHTENAW COUNTY COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH (CMH) BOARD
The Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners is looking for citizens to volunteer for positions on the Washtenaw County Community Mental Health (CMH) Board. The Board of Commissioners will make these appointments at its upcoming session on March 6, 2019 at 6:45 p.m. in the Board Room, Administration Building, 220 North Main Street, Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Individuals interested in applying should submit a letter of interest and resume, including a home address, to the Washtenaw County Clerk’s office, Attention: Appointments, P.O. Those resumes received by FEBRUARY 22, 2019 will be submitted to the Board of Commissioners for its consideration on March 6, 2019. The appointments will become effective April 1, 2019. These appointments include:
Washtenaw County Community Mental Health Board – The Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants to fill 3 positions from each of the following sectors: Secondary Consumer, Member-at-Large, and University of Michigan Health System, all for three-year terms expiring March 31, 2022.
Note: of the 12 member CMH Board, 1/3 needs to be consumers (at least 2 primary consumers & 2 secondary consumers)
The Board will support the work of the Washtenaw County Community Mental Health (CMH) Agency and provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance advice to the Agency’s Director and the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners. While day-to-day operations are led by the Washtenaw County CMH Agency’s Director, the Board and Director work collaboratively, and the appropriate involvement of the Board is both critical and expected.
