WASHTENAW COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

PUBLIC NOTICE – SEEKING VOLUNTEER FOR THE HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION

The Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners is looking for an individual to volunteer for one (1) position on the Washtenaw County Historic District Commission. The Board of Commissioners will make this appointment at its upcoming session on Wednesday, September 20th, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. 

 

Individuals interested in applying should apply online at https://ewashtenaw.formstack.com/forms/board_application. Interested parties may alternatively submit a letter of interest and resume, including a home address, to the Washtenaw County Clerk’s office, Attention: Appointments, P.O. Box 8645, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48107. Letters and resumes may also be submitted via email to [email protected], or via fax at (734) 222-6528.

 

Those resumes received by Monday, September 11th, 2023, will be submitted to the Board of Commissioners for its consideration on September 20th. The appointment will become effective immediately. Appointment information below:

 

  • Historic District Commission– The Board of Commissioners is looking to fill one (1) position representing the general public. The vacant position has a partial term ending on December 31st, 2025. The Historic District Commission identifies and documents historic county resources, fosters protection of those resources through the establishment and maintenance of historic districts, provides educational programs regarding Washtenaw County history and historic preservation issues, recognizes significant heritage sites through a program of historic markers, and supports local and state historic preservation organizations.
