WASHTENAW COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
PUBLIC NOTICE – SEEKING VOLUNTEERS FOR THE ADVISORY COUNCIL ON REPARATIONS
The Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners is looking for individuals to volunteer for ten (10) positions on the Washtenaw County Advisory Council on Reparations. Interested individuals representing any of the following sectors are strongly encouraged to apply: Economic Development, Workers Rights, Education K-12, Art, Civil Rights Law, Criminal Legal System, Food Security, Transit, Faith-Based Community, and Workforce Development The Board of Commissioners will make these appointments at an upcoming meeting.

- Advisory Council on Reparations– The Board of Commissioners is looking to fill ten (10) positions representing the following sectors: Economic Development, Workers Rights, Education K-12, Art, Civil Rights Law, Criminal Legal System, Food Security, Transit, Faith-Based Community, and Workforce Development. The vacant positions have a partial term ending on December 31st, 2024. The Council has convened to explore the ways in which Washtenaw County can make measurable, strategic investments and craft policy that may undo some of the compounded harm caused by the long-term effects of American slavery. The Council is charged with developing a set of recommendations to bring before the Board of Commissioners for consideration.
