You Make the Home Toxics Center A Success!
The Home Toxics Center aims to make a difference in our community by safely disposing of or recycling our residents’ home toxics for no cost. In 2021, the Home Toxics Center had over 4,000-weekday drop-offs - an 85% increase in drop-offs from last year, That's nearly 17 drop-offs per day! In total, 7,086 residents brought us over 515,000 pounds of material- a 21% increase by weight from 2020. With that much material coming into the center, we need time to clean up and clear out the facility.
The Home Toxics Center will temporarily close beginning on December 30, 2022, to allow us time to safely clear out toxic materials and prepare the facility for the 2023 season. The facility will reopen in early to mid-January.
Please check back to our Home Toxics Center homepage and click the ‘Book Now’ button to check for appointment availability.
If you would like to get rid of some household items before the facility opens, check our Trash To Treasure guide!
The Trash to Treasure Guide (pdf) provides local repair, reuse, recycling, and disposal resources. This A-Z guide of resources includes where you can repair, donate (reuse), or recycle your materials.
