Monkeypox isn't a new illness, but we normally don't see it here in the US. Monkeypox cases have NOT been identified in Michigan or Washtenaw County. Here's a good overview of what to know from Bridge Michigan.
Risk to the general public remains low. We're working with our local health care providers to provide information on what to do if a case is identified here in Washtenaw.
