Governor Gretchen Whitmer Appoints Commissioner Justin Hodge as Chairperson of the Commission on Community Action and Economic Opportunity
Washtenaw County, MI – This week, Governor Gretchen Whitmer appointed Commissioner Justin Hodge as Chairperson of the Commission on Community Action and Economic Opportunity. Commissioner Hodge has served as a member of the commission since 2021.
The Commission on Community Action and Economic Opportunity was created to develop policies and programs to reduce poverty and serves as a statewide forum to address the needs and concerns of low-income people in the state of Michigan.
"Expanding social and economic opportunity have always been among my top priorities." said Hodge, Chair of Working Session and Commissioner for District 5. "I am honored that Governor Whitmer trusts me to lead on these incredibly important issues and I’m excited to continue the work we are doing in Washtenaw County and make meaningful change in the lives of residents across the state."
