Walk-in services now available

The following services provided by the Washtenaw County Clerk/Register's office are available with no appointment needed during normal business hours, effective Monday, July 12:

Washtenaw County Clerk - Vital Records Division

Washtenaw.org/VitalRecords / 734-222-6720

  • Obtain certified copies of Birth, Death, Marriage, Business Name, & Military Discharge records in-person or online
  • Apply for a Marriage License in-person or by Virtual Appointment
  • Washtenaw County ID
  • Veteran's ID
  • Become a Notary Public
  • Register a business name - DBA  (Certificate of Assumed Name/Co-partnership)

Washtenaw County Register of Deeds

Washtenaw.org/Deeds / 734-222-6710

  • Obtain Copies of Recorded Land Records in-person or online
  • Submit Documents for Recording at the Register of Deeds

Washtenaw County Clerk - Elections/Administration Division

Washtenaw.org/Elections / 734-222-6730

  • Register to vote in-person or online at Michigan.gov/Vote 
  • Candidates, File to Run for Public Office 
  • Residency Letters
  • Notary service (document notarization)
