[ARCHIVED] Summer Playground Program

Kids Playground Program - Community Park

REGISTRATION OPEN! Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission, in partnership with various community organizations, is providing an exciting summer experience for youth in the Ypsilanti area through the Playground Program.

This summer, the Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission is pleased to offer the program at three locations: Superior Township at Christian Love Fellowship, West Willow at the Community Resource Center, and Sugarbrook Neighborhood at Grace Fellowship Church. Kids will enjoy arts and crafts, group games, interactive nature fun, weekly themes, and more!

The program is available for kids ages 6-11, free-of-charge. Weekly camps will be offered for 8 weeks during summer months. There is no limit to the number of weeks kids can attend. All program staff have passed a background check and are certified in CPR, first aid, and youth skills-based training. Food Gatherers is generously providing daily breakfast and lunch at each location.

If you know someone interested in attending, be sure to register soon because space is limited to 50 youth per site. Registration open until filled. For more information, please contact Karen Lewis at (734) 971-6337 x 324 or [email protected].
