[ARCHIVED] Washtenaw County Parks & Recreation Commission - COVID-19 Update - December 8, 2020

B2B Bridge over the Huron River

ANN ARBOR, MI –  On Monday, December 7, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services issued an extension of the three-week pause of all non-essential services that started on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, and will continue through December 20. Washtenaw County Parks & Recreation Commission will continue to pause all non-essential services and operate remotely/virtually where possible.

Parks and Preserves are critical to the health and general well-being of county residents. Acknowledging the importance of parks to the community, all parks and trails will remain open. As this pandemic remains a very fluid and evolving situation we continue to base our opening/operations plans on the most current directives from Federal and State Government, guidance from our County Health Department, and best practices from other parks and recreation agencies around the state. The health and safety of our park staff and patrons are paramount in our park opening and operations plans.
