ANN ARBOR, MI – On December 7, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services issued a new order which extended the State’s three-week pause as the numbers of newly infected and hospitalized residents remains alarmingly high. The Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission and the Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center continue to place the safety of members and staff at the highest priority. The Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center will continue to enforce capacity limits, social distancing, and face coverings for all people, members and staff, that enter the facility. Keeping in mind, both the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services extension of the three-week pause, minor adjustments will be made to facility hours beginning on Monday, December 14, 2020 and lasting through Sunday, January 10, 2021.
Effective December 14, 2020 through January 10, 2021 the facility’s hours will be:
Monday – Friday: 6:00 am – 1:00 pm & 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm (The facility will be closed weekdays between 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm for cleaning)Saturday: 8:00 am – 6:00 pmSunday: Closed
Holiday HoursChristmas Eve: 6:00 am – NoonChristmas Day: ClosedNew Year’s Eve: 6:00 am – 5:00 pmNew Year’s Day: Closed
The building will continue to operate to members only at 25% capacity. The indoor pool will also remain open at this time, with four swimming lanes.
