A nature program for ages 55 and up.
The fields of West Lake are alive with sounds of music and the musicians are all members of the insect order orthoptera. These creatures are known for long legs giving them the ability to jump, stiff wings able to fold against their bodies, and the songs created by rubbing their wings against each other or against their legs. Join naturalist Elle Bogle in exploring their differences and similarities using sweep nets to catch them and field guides to ID them. Pre-registration required by emailing [email protected]
