  1. Household Hazardous Waste Collection

    The Home Toxics Reduction Program provides Washtenaw County residents with a disposal option for flammable, poisonous, toxic and corrosive materials. Regular collection events are held the first three Saturdays of the month, April through November 9 a.m. to noon, except for holiday weekends. No appointment needed on Saturdays! If you can't make it to a Saturday collection, please call 734-222-3950 to schedule a weekday drop-off appointment. Please allow at least 48 business hours advance notice to schedule an appointment.

    Rain Gardens grace the sides of the road along Miller Avenue from Newport to Maple. Check them out! Join us for a neighborhood stewardship work day. We will be pulling some weeds – grabbing any little weeds before they get big. Local Master Rain Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions and lend a hand.   4. Love a Park Buhr Park Rain Garden Workday

    September 29, 2019, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Buhr Park Ice Arena entrance, Ann Arbor

    Help care for some of the oldest rain gardens in Ann Arbor. We will pull weeds like Yellow Sweet Clover, Ragweed and Canada Thistle. Learn about native seed collection and help scatter native seeds to encourage biodiversity in the rain gardens. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Bring a water bottle and dress for the weather. We will provide tools, gloves, water and expertise.
