    08/24/19 - The Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center is closed. The next Saturday collection is scheduled for September 7, 2019. The Home Toxics Reduction Program provides Washtenaw County residents with a disposal option for flammable, poisonous, toxic and corrosive materials. Regular collection events are held the first three Saturdays of the month, April through November 9 a.m. to noon, except for holiday weekends. No appointment needed on Saturdays! If you can't make it to a Saturday collection, please call 734-222-3810 to schedule a weekday drop-off appointment. Please allow at least 48 business hours advance notice to schedule an appointment.

  2. Junior Naturalist: Fields of Late Summer

    Goldenrods, asters, and milkweed, oh my! On this hike we will take a look at many of the things that live in the open habitat of a field; we will identify flowers and grasses, look for crickets, grasshoppers, and other insects, and keep our eyes and ears out for various birds- including sandhill cranes. We will have some sweep nets with us to help with finding insects. For kids 7-12 years old. Pre-registration is required – 12 children maximum. Bring rain garden plants to share – or empty hands if you have an empty rain garden! Please label any plants you bring.
