1. Sheriff 

a. AAA Traffic Safety Grant

- Ratifying the electronic submission of the application and agreement
- To AAA
- For the period of 1/1/19 through 12/31/19

- To reduce vehicle crashes and stop impaired drivers from taking the wheel by:
- To send 3 deputies to Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE) training to increase their ability to observe, identify, and articulate the signs of impaired driving due to drugs, alcohol or both
- To purchase 3 LTI Truspeed lasers for more accurate speed detection readings 
- To update the models of Preliminary Breath Tests used in the field
- This funding is a one-time grant targeted for law enforcement agencies as they address the issues that driving impaired due to the influence of alcohol, marijuana, and other drugs presents in their communities

- For a total program of  $ 10,000
- Other Revenue: $ 10,000
- County GF Match: $ 0

- Indirect costs are not included in this program

- Upon receipt of the award:
- Authorizing the Administrator to sign the Notice of Grant Award
- Amending the budget
- Authorizing the Administrator to sign delegate contracts
