Parker Mill is a historic park, with demonstration gardens of native plants at the parking lot pavilion, plants that also occur naturally throughout the Park. A woodland mitigation project will allow the Park Naturalist and Horticulturist to plant more native trees, shrubs and perennials. Specifically, along the Sugarbush Trail and around the very large old Bur Oak off the first deck along the Hoyt G. Post Boardwalk Trail.
Plant Lists & Brochures
Look for future plant lists and a brochure. Also planned are terraces of agricultural plantings of corn, buckwheat, and oats behind the Mill.
