The Washtenaw Urban County is a partnership between Washtenaw County government and the cities, townships and villages who have agreed to participate in federally funded programs.
The governing body of the Washtenaw Urban County is the Washtenaw Urban County Executive Committee (UCEC). The UCEC prioritizes needs; reviews projects; makes funding recommendations to the Washtenaw Board of Commissioners; and makes policies that facilitate Washtenaw County’s administration of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) programs.
The UCEC values community input and participation. For more information on how UCEC involves the public, please see here for Washtenaw Urban County's Citizen Participation Plan.
