Strength Training Room

The strength training room is open during regular building hours and is available to individuals who are at least 12 years old. Youth 12-14 years old need to complete an orientation with recreation center staff, prior to entering the strength training room, and they must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Equipment available in the strength training room is as follows:

  • Vertical knee raise

Other equipment includes four adjustable incline benches, sets of 5 to 65 pounds paired hand weights, and fixed-weight barbells up to 65 pounds.

Magnum ADA Advantage Trainer

Our most recent addition is the Magnum ADA Advantage Trainer, featuring the latest design in wheelchair accessible strength training. This equipment, typically found only in rehabilitation facilities, is an example of our continuing commitment to providing fitness opportunities for people with disabilities. Various exercise options offered with this equipment include: vertical chest press, lat row, lat pull down, bicep curl, pectoral deck and adjustable pulley. If you use a wheelchair and are interested in a great strength training workout, we definitely have what you need!

Weight Room Orientation
