Since the Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center opened in 1991, it has been a popular venue for recreation enthusiasts. The center has approximately 51,000 square feet of space dedicated to fitness and recreation. With close to 400,000 visitors annually, we strive to enhance quality of life by promoting healthy lifestyles through high quality facilities, programs, and services. We feature open spaces and lots of natural light to create a healthy environment where you can achieve your fitness goals.

Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center reopened their doors on Tuesday, September 15, to members only, with restrictions.

We are not accepting walk-ins at this time. We are accepting new members. Sign up today at the front desk! 

As of November 18, hours of operation have changed. 

Please look at the most recent press release regarding the modified change of hours of our facility through December 8.

To allow proper time to sanitize the facility the new hours are:

  • Monday-Friday: 7am to Noon & 4pm to 8pm
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m
  • Sunday: Closed

Lower gym hours are:

  • Monday-Friday: 7am to Noon & 4pm to 8pm
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. 5 p.m
  • Sunday: Closed

Pool hours are:

  • Monday-Friday: 7am to Noon & 4pm to 7pm
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m
  • Sunday: Closed

The Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center will be closed Thanksgiving (11/26) & Friday (11/27).

In order to operate safely, we have instituted an online lap swim reservation-only policy. To make your reservation for lap swimming for the week, see Swimming page.

In addition, reservations are not required for the usage remainder of the facility .  We can safely accommodate the following:

  • Cardio Room - 16 patrons
  • Weight Room -10 patrons
  • Spin Studio - 4 patrons
  • Walking Track - 4 patrons
  • Lower gym - 15 patrons
  • Pool - 4 patrons

If you or any member of your party are ill, or have any symptoms related to the COVID-19 virus, do not come to the recreation center. All persons entering our facility should perform a self-health assessment before entering. If you have a fever, cough or shortness of breath we ask that you do not enter.

Please take note of the following key changes, all of which have been put in place for the protection of members and staff at the facility:

  • Face masks are REQUIRED to enter our facility and MUST be worn at all times
  • Social distancing guidelines will limit the number of people entering the facility at one time
  • All members who have a monthly or yearly membership that have been issued a membership card are required to use this card to scan into the facility
  • The locker rooms will be open, with modifications
  • Showers may be used as long as proper distancing can be maintained
  • All restrooms will be sanitized daily and hand soap will be fully stocked
  • All members will have access to disinfectant and towels and must wipe down equipment before and after use
