The Washtenaw County Youth Commission is facilitated by Neutral Zone, Corner Health, and MSU Extension 4-H staff and serves in an advisory role to provide an outlet for advocacy through diverse youth-driven leadership. Youth Commissioners assess and explore youth issues in the community through surveys, focus groups, interviews, and town hall meetings. Consisting of 21 members and established in 2019, the Youth Commission advises the Board of Commissioners on the needs of our community's young people.
