2023 Continuum of Care Application Submission and Project Listing

The Washtenaw County Continuum of Care (CoC) community has been working hard to complete the 2023 CoC Funding Competition process to renew approximately $6.9 million in CoC funding for Washtenaw County, as well as to apply for $700,000 in new funds. Both parts of the 2023 CoC Consolidated Application, the CoC Application (narrative) and Priority Listing (all submitted projects) are available here for the general public, along with a detailed report on the funding process.

The Continuum of Care (CoC) 2023 Notice of Funding Opportunity was released by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development on July 5 2023. Since then, the Washtenaw County CoC community has been working hard to complete the 2022 CoC Funding competition process to renew approximately $6.9 million in CoC funding, as well as to apply for $700,000 in funding for new projects. 

For 2023, 14 renewal projects, 1 HMIS project,1 expansion bonus project for PSH, 1  bonus project for coordinated entry, and 1 bonus project serving survivors of domestic violence were ranked and submitted for funding, as well as for a CoC planning grant that is not ranked. The total number of projects, including the planning, HMIS, and bonus projects, is 18.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped prepare this years application! To prepare the best application possible for our community took a team effort. Avalon Housing, Interfaith Hospitality Network, Michigan Ability Partners, Ozone House, SafeHouse, SOS Community Services, WHA, HAWC, SAWC, OCED staff, the Funding Review Team, the CoC board, and many other community providers worked around the clock to submit necessary project information, complete project applications, review projects, and write narratives. The combined efforts resulted in a strong community application that will help us end homelessness in Washtenaw County! Everyone deserves a huge pat on the back!
