Baker Woods Preserve
Picture book trail through a very pretty woods
BOARDWALK DESTINATIONS
Kids just love a good boardwalk!
Burns-Stokes Preserve
Short trail for small legs, with little creeks, beaver chew, and wild locust with giant thorns
Fox Science Preserve
Lots of rocks to climb on, free play and exploration. Check out the Gowganda Tillite! (rock fossils)
Kosch Headwaters Preserve
A good spot for owl hunting. Owl pellets have been found here.
Northfield Woods Preserve
Abundance of fall wildflowers, might be great to visit during monarch migration
Scio Woods Preserve
Look for bluebirds in the center clearing where the trees were cut down before it became a preserve
Sharon Short Hills Preserve
About a mile hike, but to a nice high point- good for many ages
Weatherbee Woods Preserve
Hike through an open field to a small creekbed to look for animal tracks in the mud
