Firearm Violence

Firearm violence is a serious public health issue.

In 2020, gun violence became the leading cause of death for children for the first time in Michigan and in the U.S. This increase in firearm deaths is also happening here in Washtenaw County.

See our new Firearm Death Report detailing local trends in firearm deaths from 2011-2022.
