Addressing Childcare Access

In September 2021, the Board of Commissioners approved a $2,000,000 investment to assist families in need of support accessing childcare.

In Fall 2021, the County expended $400,000 of the funds to Childcare Network to expand their work providing financial assistance and navigation services. To learn more, including how to request assistance, visit https://www.childcarenetwork.org/family-support-program

The remaining $1,600,000 was awarded to Childcare Network through a competitive request for proposals. These funds became available in January 2022 and will be used by Childcare Network to reach significantly more families.
