Jury COVID-19 Information

Click here for a letter from Chief Judge Carol Kuhnke regarding the importance of Jury Duty and the COVID-19 precautions taken by the Washtenaw County Trial Court.

Due to COVID-19, please note the following requirements for entry into the Washtenaw County Trial Court and during the course of your jury service:

  • DO NOT report if you are feeling ill.  Please contact the Jury Clerk at 734-222-3354 for further instructions.
  • You will be required to answer health screening questions and have your temperature taken with a contactless thermometer.  Click here for the health screening questions.
  • Masks must be worn at all times.  If you are medically unable to wear a face covering, please contact the jury office ahead of your arrival.  If you do not have a mask, a disposable mask will be provided.
  • Adhere to social distancing requirements.

The Washtenaw County Trial Court has enacted the following safety measures to promote a safe environment for your service:

  • Reducing the number of jurors summoned to report
  • Screening for COVID-19 symptoms including daily temperature checks
  • Requiring masks while in the courthouse
  • Rearranging furniture to support social distancing (see picture of Jury Assembly Room below)
  • Making hand sanitizer available throughout the courthouse
  • Cleaning and sanitizing common areas thoroughly and frequently
