Who We Are

Washtenaw County Community Mental Health (WCCMH) is one of several community-based mental health care organizations in Michigan.

Today, thanks to funding from the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and the Washtenaw County Public Safety and Mental Health Preservation Millage, WCCMH provides mental health services to all individuals in Washtenaw County, whether or not they have a diagnosis, insurance coverage, or the ability to pay for services.

Before these funding opportunities became available, WCCMH staff traditionally served Washtenaw County residents with a severe and persistent mental illness, with a severe emotional disturbance, or with an intellectual or developmental disability.

WCCMH has permanent service locations in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, but also provides services at partner sites across the county, including Dexter, Chelsea, Whitmore Lake, etc.

Please read our Programs and Services page to learn more about what we offer, and feel free to call us at 734-544-3050 to talk more about Getting Started.
