Deputy Sheriff

Corrections Officer

Our operational philosophy incorporates Direct Supervision and Inmate Behavior Management.  We take pride in providing a safe environment while addressing the needs of inmates in our facility.  Annual salary ranges from $37,160.70 - $59,411.58.

Communications Operator

They live to serve!  As an integral part of Washtenaw County's public safety system, our Communications Operators answer emergency and non-emergency phone lines, assist a variety of law enforcement agencies, coordinate needed responses to our citizens, and help save lives.  Annual salary ranges from $37,080.13 - $59,218.08.

Community Service Officer

The operational philosophy of the Washtenaw County Jail, Direct Supervision and Inmate Behavior Management, impacts all operations of the jail. Community Service Officers (CSOs) work in a variety of roles in the Sheriff's Office, including most of the administrative duties of the Intake, Transfer, and Release of the jail. Annual salary ranges from $32,810.44 - $44,969.34.

Court Security Officer

Our court security staff provides security and maintains the integrity of the judicial process by ensuring a safe and secure environment in and around the court complexes of Washtenaw County. Hourly wages range from $18.04 - $20.00.

Drug Testing Agent

Our team of Drug Testing Agents collect, test, and maintain the integrity of samples provided by individuals court-ordered to undergo drug/alcohol screenings. Hourly wage is $16.00.

Court Services Liaison

The Court Services Liaison team works in the Community Corrections offices and the Washtenaw County Jail to conduct interviews and assessments with inmates, providing vital information to the Court. Hourly wage starts at $15.00

911 Call Taker

Working alongside our full-time Communications Operators in the Metro Dispatch center, these part-time employees answer emergency and non-emergency calls serving the citizens of Washtenaw County with a flexible schedule. Hourly wages range from $18.04 - $20.00.
